Peter Cilio, a renowned entrepreneur, artist and iconic fixture of the gardening industry, died December 16th at his home in Blue Bell, Pa., after a yearlong battle with cancer. He was 78.

Cilio founded Peter's Home and Garden Center in Quakertown, Pa., in the early 70s. The store pioneered the importing of Italian terra cotta to the states after its founder, born in Ponte Romito, Italy, saw there was no resource for the handmade terra cotta pottery his garden so craved.

Philadelphia, PA June 2007- To help meet the growing demand for their outdoor living collections of casual furniture and accessories, Alfresco Home will be moving to a new office and showroom located at 421 Feheley Drive, Suite A, King of Prussia PA, 19406. In addition to the 15,000 square foot office center just outside of Philadelphia, Alfresco Home is also increasing their distribution facility to 50,000 square feet effective July 1st.
